Hey guys
Today I wanted to release some of my excitement for the parcel I received in the mail yesterday, as you have probably guessed from the title it was my first MAC makeup haul!
MAC have so many shades in their range there was no way that I could judge what foundation and powder I would need from just a small box of colour on their website. So I decided to visit the closest MAC store to myself and get colour matched by an artist they had in store (all free of charge). I then actually chose to order online when I got home as I had a 10% off voucher for Debenhams!
Anywho, I decided to do my makeup for my wedding in a few months time, partly because I am quite fussy and would worry about looking like a clown, and partly because that justified spending money on some very nice makeup.
My specification was pretty simple really, I wanted a long wearing matte "flawless look" foundation. I begun my research and after many many hours of reading blogs, watching YouTube videos etc. I decided that a foundation followed up by a powder seems to be suggested as more long wearing.
I had a makeup lesson at my local Benefit Cosmetics counter but found their Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation to be far too light a coverage for what I wanted it for. Also, surprisingly the Benefit foundation was almost £5 more than the MAC foundation which was very surprising.
So with all this in mind I decided to bite the bullet and go for MAC. The foundation fitted by specification perfectly as the lady at the MAC store told me it is their fullest coverage foundation and has a matte finish to it.
I was colour matched to the following:-
MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation - NW18
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder - Light Plus (I actually ended up getting one tone stronger, medium, to allow for a bit of a tan in a few months time!)
I am going to test run them tonight and shall let you know how I get on :0)
Do any of you use either of the products I have mentioned? Any tips or tricks?
