Cheeky Wipes Reusable Baby Wipes Kit Review

Hey guys

I wanted to share a purchase with you that I made over the weekend.  I went to The Baby Show and suffice to say I spent too much! Only meant to get some cot bumpers and didnt even get them...

One of the products we did invest in were Cheeky Wipes which can be found at www.cheekywipes.com

We spoke to the creator for a long time and learnt of why she had come up with this concept in the first place.  They are basically cloth cotton mini flannels that you use on baby and then wash in the washing machine with the rest of your washing.  You have a clean wipes box where you keep clean ones in water with chamomile and lavender oil, and then a mucky wipes box that contains teatree and lemon oil.  Within the mucky wipes box is a mesh laundry bag so you just take out the whole thing and put it straight in the washing machine.

For more information on the concept and products be sure to check out their website.  They are available in the UK and Australia.

We have been using them for four days now and shall not look back.  We will save a huge amount of money not buying disposable wipes and I feel great that I am doing my bit for the environment.  They actually make the nursery smell amazing too!

Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

Crochet Baby Makes - What I have made for my bubba so far...Part 4

crochet baby jogging bottoms trousers pants capri tutorial youtube handmade newborn

Like the converse style booties in one of my recent posts, I went for green yarn again, this time making some baby jogging bottoms.  I think they are absolutely adorable and am really hoping that they will fit.

I found a YouTube tutorial, I believe it was called Baby Capri Trousers or something like that but it was really easy to follow and I love them!

What do you think of these cute baby jogging bottom trousers?

Crochet Baby Makes - What I have made for my bubba so far...Part 3

crochet ripple wave baby blanket lucys attic 24 attic24 pattern with border

Next up is a ripple wave blanket using the Attic24 pattern but with an amended border that I tweaked myself.

The bedroom is grey and white so I have been keen to make some blankets that will match this.

The blanket is a cot size blanket and can be used in the pram or car seat also if folded up a bit smaller.

Crochet Baby Makes - What I have made for my bubba so far...Part 2

crochet baby converse style high top booties handmade wool yarn newborn

Next up is this cute pair of 'Converse' style crochet baby booties.

I have made then in green as we are keeping the gender of the baby a surprise so everything we get / I make must be gender neutral.

I live and sleep in my converse so there is no way that my baby isn't going to have some too.  Not sure I can warrant £25.00 on real baby converse right now that they will grow out of in a month so the crochet version for now must suffice.

What do you think of my baby crochet converse?

Crochet Baby Makes - What I have made my bubba so far...Part 1

crochet baby blanket fleece fabric backing handmade thick warm snugly throw

Here is the first item I have completed for my impending bubba due in November later this year.

I made a basic rectangle blanket using a alternate DC SC method, kind of similar to that used to make dish cloths / wash cloths, then found a fleece fabric I loved and had this sewed to one side for extra comfort and warmth.  I used three strands of DK yarn of different colours at one time and a 10mm crochet hook.

As said the baby is due in November so will be a winter baby so must be kept warm and snug!

Let me know what you think :0)
