Hi guys
Do any of you remember Dymo embossing label makers?? Well, I had one
when I was a kid and used to label everything! Tis true my love of stationery
used to shine through even at the age of 6!
As some of you may know I recently treated myself to a Finsbury
personal size Filofax and in an effort to save money, I decided rather than
purchasing new dividers I would use some tabs that I got from a seller on Etsy
and label them up into the sections I needed.
Last time I did this, I borrowed my husband’s label printer from his
work but I don’t expect him to keep sneaking it home for me every time I want
to make some more labels. Then it dawned
on me, “hey, what about the Dymo I used to have”. With this thought in mind, and my mum
spending a couple of hours searching my old bedroom at her house (love her), I was
reunited with my old Dymo including tape still hanging out of it!!
Alas, I have used this to do exactly what I set out to do, label some
tabs to act as dividers in my new Finsbury Filofax. I love it as I think it really has a retro
feel about it.
My sister recently purchased a Filofax A5 Apex to use as her planner at
work (she is a teacher) and she is also going to label up her tabbed dividers
that she made using this. You can watch
my YouTube video on how to make your own Filofax dividers by clicking here.
What type of label maker do you like to use?
Thank you very much for sharing your story! It makes us happy to read that you started using Dymo at a very early age and still get excited with our label makers. We are sure it brings back good memories. ^CP
