HD Brows Palette – Perfect Brows

HD Eye and Brow Palette HD Brows Foxy Bombshell Vamp

Hi girls

As some of you may be aware from my previous blog post on the wonders of the HD Brow world I am an avid user and feel they really do produce flawless results.

I have now invested in the HD Eye & Brow palette which consists of 4 shadow shades which I would like to review for you today.  It cost me £19.90 from the salon that I get my HD Brows done at.

This palette comes in 3 different shade groups: Vamp; Bombshell and Foxy.  I was matched up by my HD Brow technician to the palette in the colour “Foxy”.

You use the top left shade in the HD Brow Palette as a highlighter to highlight your brow bone / line.  I use the black in the top right corner of the HD Brow Palette as a smokey eye liner.  I was then advised that for the colour of my eye brows I should use a dab of each of the two bottom colours mixed together on my brush to line and fill in my brows.

You get a cute little double ended brush which consists of a blending brush and an angled fine line brush to allow for precision when perfecting your brows.

These shadows do not only have to be used on your eye brows, you can also use them as eye shadows too.  I have been using the palette every day for about 3 months so far and haven’t really made a dent in it.  The initial cost is quite steep for 4 small shadows and I must admit I did put off getting it for a while but I truly am converted!

The only negative I would make is that I think for me the light highlighter shadow is useless and doesn’t show at all.  Other than that it gives my brows great definition in between my treatments and I couldn’t go out without wearing it now! How did I used to survive?!

Purple passion nail blog

Hi girlies

Wow it has been a long time since I wrote a blog so it’s high time I did so.  Nail blog time!

Now, this isn’t my most imaginative of nail creations but I like the colours all the same.

I have used a Barry M purple nail polish (varnish) and a Rimmel glitter nail polish(varnish).  I opted for the ever popular statement ring finger, on one hand I applied simply many many layers of the Rimmel glitter polish, then on the other hand I applied the glitter polish over the top of my Barry M purple polish.

I feel it is simple yet effective.  Hope you all like it and I promise not to leave it so long next time!

‘Til next time bloggers

MAC Makeup ~ Studio Fix Fluid Foundation SPF 15 & Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder - My first MAC !

Hey guys

Today I wanted to release some of my excitement for the parcel I received in the mail yesterday, as you have probably guessed from the title it was my first MAC makeup haul!

MAC have so many shades in their range there was no way that I could judge what foundation and powder I would need from just a small box of colour on their website.  So I decided to visit the closest MAC store to myself and get colour matched by an artist they had in store (all free of charge).  I then actually chose to order online when I got home as I had a 10% off voucher for Debenhams!

Anywho, I decided to do my makeup for my wedding in a few months time, partly because I am quite fussy and would worry about looking like a clown, and partly because that justified spending money on some very nice makeup.

My specification was pretty simple really, I wanted a long wearing matte "flawless look" foundation.  I begun my research and after many many hours of reading blogs, watching YouTube videos etc. I decided that a foundation followed up by a powder seems to be suggested as more long wearing.

I had a makeup lesson at my local Benefit Cosmetics counter but found their Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation to be far too light a coverage for what I wanted it for. Also, surprisingly the Benefit foundation was almost £5 more than the MAC foundation which was very surprising.

So with all this in mind I decided to bite the bullet and go for MAC. The foundation fitted by specification perfectly as the lady at the MAC store told me it is their fullest coverage foundation and has a matte finish to it.

I was colour matched to the following:-

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation - NW18
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder - Light Plus (I actually ended up getting one tone stronger, medium, to allow for a bit of a tan in a few months time!)

I am going to test run them tonight and shall let you know how I get on :0)

Do any of you use either of the products I have mentioned? Any tips or tricks?
