Crochet Baby Makes - What I have made for my bubba so far...Part 4

crochet baby jogging bottoms trousers pants capri tutorial youtube handmade newborn

Like the converse style booties in one of my recent posts, I went for green yarn again, this time making some baby jogging bottoms.  I think they are absolutely adorable and am really hoping that they will fit.

I found a YouTube tutorial, I believe it was called Baby Capri Trousers or something like that but it was really easy to follow and I love them!

What do you think of these cute baby jogging bottom trousers?

Hi guys

An extra little post today just to show some Filofax personal size inserts I have created and have for sale on my Etsy shop.

They are reading list book tracker pages so that you can keep track of the books you have read throughout the year, maybe even set yourself a target of how many you would like to read before the New Year!  You can also rate each book out of 5 stars.

I hope you like them, I am finding them very useful indeed :0)

Crochet Baby Makes - What I have made for my bubba so far...Part 3

crochet ripple wave baby blanket lucys attic 24 attic24 pattern with border

Next up is a ripple wave blanket using the Attic24 pattern but with an amended border that I tweaked myself.

The bedroom is grey and white so I have been keen to make some blankets that will match this.

The blanket is a cot size blanket and can be used in the pram or car seat also if folded up a bit smaller.

Today's post is just a quickie to show you some pics of our beautiful chevron wall my hubby has painted in our nursery.

I saw pics on Pinterest and showed them to him one evening.  I said "Don't worry, I'm not expecting you to do this but how cool does it look".  To my surprise he replied that if it was what I wanted then he would do it.  Fast forward a couple of weeks and hey presto!

I am so pleased with how it has come out.  I will be doing a YouTube video Nursery Tour a bit closer to the due date when the nursery is complete but for now, this is a glimpse!

Crochet Baby Makes - What I have made for my bubba so far...Part 2

crochet baby converse style high top booties handmade wool yarn newborn

Next up is this cute pair of 'Converse' style crochet baby booties.

I have made then in green as we are keeping the gender of the baby a surprise so everything we get / I make must be gender neutral.

I live and sleep in my converse so there is no way that my baby isn't going to have some too.  Not sure I can warrant £25.00 on real baby converse right now that they will grow out of in a month so the crochet version for now must suffice.

What do you think of my baby crochet converse?

Crochet Baby Makes - What I have made my bubba so far...Part 1

crochet baby blanket fleece fabric backing handmade thick warm snugly throw

Here is the first item I have completed for my impending bubba due in November later this year.

I made a basic rectangle blanket using a alternate DC SC method, kind of similar to that used to make dish cloths / wash cloths, then found a fleece fabric I loved and had this sewed to one side for extra comfort and warmth.  I used three strands of DK yarn of different colours at one time and a 10mm crochet hook.

As said the baby is due in November so will be a winter baby so must be kept warm and snug!

Let me know what you think :0)

Monday 6 July 2015

Hello - I am back!

Well it has been quite a few months since I last got a chance to write my little blog, it has been on my mind often, but finding the time has been somewhat difficult!

Nevertheless I am going to start getting back on the blogging bandwagon and thought I would provide you with a little update.

Things have been crazy hectic for me lately.  First off, I made a crochet tutorial video on YouTube which was received warmly and has sent my YouTube subscribers through the roof to over 2,000! So I am working on a new crochet tutorial video for you ASAP, I dont want to let you all down.

More importantly, I found out earlier on in the year that myself and my husband have been blessed with a wee bubba due towards the end of November 2015 so that has had me in a whirlwind of sickness, tiredness and first time mummy conundrums! Still, I have lived through it so far and I am sure I will survive :0)  We have our second scan tomorrow which is very exciting!

All in all I have lots to share with you over the next couple of weeks, lots of catch up photos on various different crafts and crochet items I have made for the bubba, little snippets of decor in our newly painted nursey, and much much more so I hope you are with me along the way.

I am also probably going to be posting some mummy type questions so if any of you can help that would be much appreciated as I havent got a clue what I am doing!
