Entrelac Baby Crochet Blankets for Twin Sisters made in Dubai

Entrelac Baby Blankets for Twin Sisters made in Dubai handmade crochet

Entrelac Baby Blankets for Twin Sisters made in Dubai handmade crochet

So these two went off to their new home in Dubai this morning.  They were made for twin sisters for their upcoming birthday in June and I hope that they love them when they receive them.

They are made using an Entrelac in the round pattern and they work off the Tunisian Crochet concept.

I absolutely love this stitch and making them and I hope y'all do too.

Harry Potter CAL crochet along - pattern by Two Hearts Crochet

Hi all

I am so pleased to finally be able to blog a massive crochet project I was working on for a few months. It was for my sisters birthday and as she is on my social media I had to keep it under wraps.

So without further ado I give you my completed Harry Potter patchwork crochet blanket.

All the squares patterns are free downloads from Two Hearts Crochet and there are loads of other themes and films to make blankets of (I recently saw Star Wars and Disney Princesses)

I backed it with a tartan fabric which I think sets it off perfectly.

I can't wait to hear what you think. This was certainly my most challenging crochet project to date and I'm so pleased I finished it without cutting any corners!

Hexie Love Actually pattern by Pink Stitches

hexie love actually CAL crochet pink stitches green letter day hexagons blanket

I recently made a Hexie Love Actually crochet blanket for a swap with a lady on Instagram (she made me a Catch All Caddy pattern by Annie in return). I'll post a photo pf my gifted caddy in a different post - its amazeballs!

The Hexie Love Actually pattern is by Pink Stitches and can be found on Ravelry here.  It is a paid pattern.

You can follow the designer on Instagram @greenletterday by clicking here, her photos are fabulous and very inspirational.

I absolutely love the way the colours came together and I almost didnt want to send it, but I guess that is the sign of a good gift when you would love to keep it for yourself.

What do you guys think of my Hexie Love Actually crochet blanket?

Baby Boy Crochet Blue Ripple Blanket Attic 24 Pattern

Hey guys

Just wanted to show off a blanket I have been working on for a friend of mine who is expecting a baby boy in April.  I decided my darling daughter has enough blankets for now so I should start making some for other people!

I used the Attic 24 ripple blanket pattern and a tutorial of how to do this can be found on my YouTube channel.

I love the colours and how this has turned out, what do you think?

Entrelac Tunisian Crochet Pink Baby Blanket

Entrelac Tunisian Crochet Baby Blanket Wool Yarn Knit Patchwork

Entrelac Tunisian Crochet Baby Blanket Wool Yarn Knit Patchwork

Hi guys

Today I just wanted to show you my latest finished project from start - finish. I have made my baby daughter an entrelac tunisian crochet blanket which is big enough for her cot bed once she moves into it or it will last her as a lap blanket for a long time.  Until now all the blankets I had made her were much smaller so I am hoping this one will last her a lot longer.

Have you tried Entrelac before? Let me know what you think of this blanket in the comments below :0)

Until next time!

Hi guys

Long time no blog! I have been super busy with baby prep and just haven't found the time, but I really wanted to share these pics with you of one of my recent crochet projects.  It is Max the African Flower Bulldog, pattern purchased from Heidibears Etsy store.

Overall I am really pleased with how this turned out, in hindsight I just wish I had left it open for a while so I could add a bit more stuffing once it went down but nevermind.

What do you think? Have you made any of Heidibears patterns before?

Crochet Baby Makes - What I have made for my bubba so far...Part 4

crochet baby jogging bottoms trousers pants capri tutorial youtube handmade newborn

Like the converse style booties in one of my recent posts, I went for green yarn again, this time making some baby jogging bottoms.  I think they are absolutely adorable and am really hoping that they will fit.

I found a YouTube tutorial, I believe it was called Baby Capri Trousers or something like that but it was really easy to follow and I love them!

What do you think of these cute baby jogging bottom trousers?

Crochet Baby Makes - What I have made for my bubba so far...Part 3

crochet ripple wave baby blanket lucys attic 24 attic24 pattern with border

Next up is a ripple wave blanket using the Attic24 pattern but with an amended border that I tweaked myself.

The bedroom is grey and white so I have been keen to make some blankets that will match this.

The blanket is a cot size blanket and can be used in the pram or car seat also if folded up a bit smaller.

Crochet Baby Makes - What I have made for my bubba so far...Part 2

crochet baby converse style high top booties handmade wool yarn newborn

Next up is this cute pair of 'Converse' style crochet baby booties.

I have made then in green as we are keeping the gender of the baby a surprise so everything we get / I make must be gender neutral.

I live and sleep in my converse so there is no way that my baby isn't going to have some too.  Not sure I can warrant £25.00 on real baby converse right now that they will grow out of in a month so the crochet version for now must suffice.

What do you think of my baby crochet converse?

Crochet Baby Makes - What I have made my bubba so far...Part 1

crochet baby blanket fleece fabric backing handmade thick warm snugly throw

Here is the first item I have completed for my impending bubba due in November later this year.

I made a basic rectangle blanket using a alternate DC SC method, kind of similar to that used to make dish cloths / wash cloths, then found a fleece fabric I loved and had this sewed to one side for extra comfort and warmth.  I used three strands of DK yarn of different colours at one time and a 10mm crochet hook.

As said the baby is due in November so will be a winter baby so must be kept warm and snug!

Let me know what you think :0)

Hey guys,

Another one from me and this time it is to show you a crochet gift I made for my mum.

I had her a pair of rainbow stripy socks for Christmas and although they look big in the photo they did actually fit her kinda like slipper socks.  They certainly looked cosy anyway!

Another thumbs up for handmade crochet gifts for family members at Christmas!

Crochet Finglerless Gloves Christmas Present

Hey guys

This is just a quick post to show you some fingerless gloves I crocheted for my dad for chChristmas He is forever doing DIY and odd jobs around the house but gets quite cold whilst doing it and is always wearing a pair of fingerless gloves.

If you are like me and always stuck for what to get your dad for Christmas I decided something sentimental and handmade would go down a treat for him, I was right.

He absolutely loved them and has been wearing them so that is a big thumbs up for crochet handmade gifts for family members at Christmas!

Morning guys

This is to show you the crochet teapot tea cosy I made the parents-in-law for Christmas.  I found the basic pattern on Pinterest and thought it was adorable as it looked like a little sack (which reminded me of Christmas time).

I used a chunky yarn and an 8mm crochet hook as the pattern suggested.

What do you think? Do you like to use a teapot?

Hey guys

My friends at The Craft Club are at it again, this time it is a Christmas themed yarnbomb.  They have decorated a post box with the most gorgeous hat, The Snowman themed scene which truly is remarkable.

What I also love is that it has been there a few days now and no one has stolen it or ruined it, people just seem to stop and take their photos and appreciate it for it's Christmas cheer and respect what The Craft Club have done.

I think it really looks amazing and it certainly made me feel Christmassy.  What do you think?

Crochet Baby Blanket - Ripple Wave Blanket with Border

crochet baby ripple wave blanket with border pink white beige

Hey crochet fans!

This post is to show you a crochet baby blanket I recently made for a friend at work.  She is having a baby girl who is due in February 2015 and I wanted to make something for her special little bundles arrival.

I had seen some ripple / wave crochet blankets knocking around instagram for a while and decided this was the perfect reason to make one.  I used the Attic24 pattern for my ripple / wave blanket.  I then found a couple of useful blog posts which explained how best to straighten off the ripple / wave edges for a border.

I have made this blanket to match the colour scheme in the nursery.  I am going to give it to her this week and I hope she loves it as much as I loved making it.

Let me know what you think in the comments below, I would love to hear from you.
